Man faces a year in jail for this remark, which is being persecuted under a new law against blasphemy made after the Pussy Riot thing
>“If I say that the collection of Jewish fairytales entitled the Bible is complete bullshit, that is that. At least for me,” Krasnov wrote, adding later “there is no God!”

More and more people getting arrested for shit they say online. I haven't paid attention to Russia but in the UK. There a few articles of kids getting investigated over bomb threats and suicide attempts in the US which seems appropriate.
The top guy wants to rule forever. All the shit he does (increasing totalitarianism and repressions at home, wars abroad) are to that end.

Except bomb threats and other threats of bodily harm have never been considered protected speech. How are these incidents a threat to our freedom of expression?
Don't go around threatening to blow people up. It's pretty fucking simple. The police have to waste valuable resources and manpower responding to these threats as if they were serious. They can't gamble on the basis that someone may be crying wolf, because then they'd be even more negligent for not responding at all.
