Why isn't there a cat hunt?
Cats have a much bigger impact on the environment because of many reasons.
They are non native. They have a reproduction cycle faster than most reptiles, they have to eat more prey more often. A python eats a nutria and it won't eat for a month or more. Mammals eat every day. Cats also kill for fun, and recent studies show they are killing endangered species.
Note that I own a cat and love it and still think the ones in the wild are terrible pests.
>traipsing around in an alligator filled swamp in search of giant snakes
Nah, I'm good.

The US government does cat hunts all the time on pacific islands where endangered birds nest. Not so much on the mainland.

IT IS LITERALLY WHACKING DAY
Hey let's send people to the swamps in Florida the same week we get the first confirmed case of Zika virus in the fucking US.

Are we straight up trying to kill everyone? I mean, just come to their houses at night and put a pillow case over their heads and take them away somewhere, trump up some charges, seize their assets, and sell the house to someone else. That's what we do in South America when the fascists take over and nobody seems to mind. If you want to genocide Americans just do it for fucks sakes, don't use a mosquito borne illness to do your dirty work.
Fuck.
