To be fair, that's if we make some assumptions like murderers with legally purchased firearms killed at the same rate and we can't necessarily assume all those murders wouldn't have been committed murder if they couldn't obtain a legally purchased firearm.
Still, 30 deaths caused vs 24 deaths prevented, that seems significant.
