Isn't there a distinction between the cpacity to which Comey was speaking w/ Trump vs. Flynn? I.e, Flynn lied to the VP in the capacity of his office.

Comey spoke w/ Trump in a professional setting but not to the same capacity. Furthermore, these are his own memos. They belong to him, so can it really be considered a leak?

There's no obstruction, Trump has the power to stop any fbi investigation. If he wanted to he could just pardon Flynn and it would stop the investigation, optically it would look bad but it's not obstruction. Comey is the head of the snake, he's the source of the WH leaks. He's writes memos to have leverage (blackmail) over the prez. When Comey was fired Trump tweeted there maybe a "tape" so be careful of what you say/leak. The testimony of Comey suggests that Trump has the goods on him. Comey practically volunteered that he was the leaker and also thew Lynch under the bus, perhaps Comey is looking for a plea deal. Comey is the one in trouble here not Trump.

If Trump admitted the firing of Comey was due to the investigation, and Sessions wrote a letter recommending Comey's termination, then how does that not violate the promise Trump's atty general made?

What is that promise even worth, who is enforcing it, and what's to stop him from interfering in the investigation in the future?

They've actually paid for mudslinging radio ads calling Comey a "leaker" and "untrustworthy". When Trump does get impeached, Comey should sue him for slander.
