Not OP but back from Colombia where all the Venezuelans are fleeing to.
I asked them about Venezuela because we originally wanted to go there and they said 10 years minimum wait if you dont want to be robbed at airport customs. Caracass supposebly has a murderrate over 150 a night and child soldiers were patroling the streets.
A day after I left the military was supposed to have initiated a coup.

Its also well known that Venezuela cant export oil at competative prices after large chunks of maintainance money has been pocketed and the refineries, pipelines ect. degraded to a point most would have to be entirely redone.
Everyone in Colombia was shitting themselves because they believe that if Venezuela doesnt get their act together the US will move in to guarantee extraction.
