You look at stories like mattress girl or the made up rape put in Rolling Stones and you can easily see the difference in scale.
The reason it doesn't get as much attention is because of the atmosphere surrounding rape. In most narratives men are the aggressors. They can't also be the victims. Which is sad and clearly untrue.

C'mon anon, don't be so negative. There are resources out there for men who are raped/sexually assaulted. The stigma isnt so bad in the US in many places anymore.
I do agree with your point though, male victims are often ignored because of the men-as-aggressor narrative that is so often pushed. Not to say men don't rape either (obviously), but we need to approach rape in a way that doesn't automatically demonize either gender.

I had a buddy who was raped by a gay dude in a cab. He just laughed it off, never talked about it again after he told me. I asked him if he wanted help and he said don't make a big deal about it.
He knew he wouldn't get the support he wanted, and he knew the stigma would be intense. He just wanted to forget about it like it never happened.
