Former Democratic Mayor of Fairfax, Va. Richard "Scott" Silverthorne pleaded guilty to a felony drug distribution charge on Monday. The former elected official was arrested in August on the charge according to USA Today.
Silverthorne was arrested on August 4 after selling $200 worth of methamphetamine to undercover officers in exchange for a group sexual encounter.
The ex-mayor will be held in custody until his sentencing hearing. The charge against him carries a maximum of a $500,000 fine and 40 years in prison.
Silverthorne was a substitute teacher in Fairfax County schools and served on the Fairfax City Council from 1990 until 2008 and again in 2011 before being elected mayor. Shortly before his arrest, Silverthorne won re-election for a third term as mayor. He resigned from office shortly after his August arrest.
Two other men were arrested on felony drug charges with Silverthorne during the undercover sting.

Isn't Fairfax a suburb of DC? What is it about that place and junkie mayors?

He had the drugs in the first place or are you denying that they were his drugs?
He's not a drug dealer
Or a man who was dealing drugs
Or a middle-aged man who was dealing drugs
Or a Virginian who was dealing drugs
Or a mayor who was dealing drugs
Or even an American who was dealing drugs
No
The most important piece of information that you need to know about this is
He is a D E M O C R A T

He's attacking the methodology used to set up the arrest, not that he isn't guilty of a crime.
Why is it that mayors are consistently stupid enough to sell drugs to undercovers, but your average hood rat can spot one? I swear, I've seen hood rats point out undercovers with pretty amazing foresight. I wonder why that is

Darn, I guess if one Dem is a drug dealer then they're all bad. We really lost this one and need to suck your dick now, by golly.

Most politicians around DC are super full of themselves. They think that they are around DC, and are politicians, so naturally they must be the kings of the free world. It's like that from mayor all the way down to simple elected officials.
The actual federal politicians in DC are an entirely different beast, and are usually way better at hiding their sins.
