> Opinion: Trust in the media is sinking and it's time to act
Comment on article...
>>> All reporting is biased. It is better to get news from a wide variety of sources, with a wide variety of biases, and sort out the truth for yourself.
>>> Of course, sorting out the truth for yourself does require thought.
Something everyone should do on their own.

Opinion pieces aren't allowed in the sticky.

On the note of this poster, CBC isn't really a credible source of news either.
Belief in media conspiracy theories is more just an extension of a larger problem which is people being willfully retarded.
You can maybe repair trust in journalism but it's just a temporary patch. It's only going to be so long before the root problem strikes again in some other way.
The folks on the right that believe this stuff may have some actual, legitimate grievances to air regarding culture and immigration. But they've found no artful, convincing way of presenting them or negotiating them so no duh they feel alienated. They've fallen back on "let's support the first candidate that claims to understand, until the bitter end, because we have no other ideas".

Credible in terms of news reporting, sure. They're not a made-up tabloid story outfit.
But biased to the left? Absolutely. The leftist rhetoric is almost always present in articles where such a view can be expressed, as well as by presenters on their television and radio programs.
