Two of these Europe air pollution stories.

Where's the US equivalent?

Really makes me think.

>According to the European Environment Agency’s 2016 report, air pollution in Europe’s major cities has so far caused nearly 550,000 premature deaths. A number which continues to rise.

>In the EU’s major cities, almost every man women and child are essentially being forced to smoke 1.6 cigarettes a day – according to a study by Berkeley health.

http://berkeleyearth.org/air-pollution-and-cigarette-equivalence/

Which does make the 1.6 claim but also says this:

>Here is the rule of thumb: one cigarette per day is the rough equivalent of a PM2.5 level of 22 μg/m3. Double that level, and it is equivalent to 2 cigarettes per day. Of course, unlike cigarette smoking, the pollution reaches every age group.

Which would make the EU average figure they're using 35.2 μg/m3, 8.8 for the US average μg/m3

This map shows that that concentration of pollution is only found in the worse cities in Eastern Europe:

http://www.eea.europa.eu/data-and-maps/figures/annual-mean-pm2-5-concentrations

In London the levels would less than 0.9 cigarettes per day equivalent (20 μg/m3 of PM2.5).
In some town less than 0.45 cigarettes.

The USA uses an AQI (air quality index) formula to standardise the various pollutants with an AQI of over 100 is considered unhealthy.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_quality_index#Computing_the_AQI

1 smoke = 62 PM2.5 AQI

Do you live in a major city? The air is already pretty offending there.
>>
>>101120

Eurofag here.

Everything just fine, planes always spreading their chemtrails and no smog in sight.

Thanks for you concern btw, such an hero OP.

And in the city, I'm living right now, the PM2.5 level is 150 μg/m3 right now, equivalent of ~6.8 cigarettes, with daily average reaching this month as high as 210 μg/m3 (~9.55 cigarettes). FML, fucking Poland.

Steal from the future: and sooner or later the consequences come due.

These are those days. And unless something extraordinary happens along, this will get worse. It's not only the air. Poisoned air is a presentation of poisoned land and poisoned sea. And of a poisoned society.

People weakened and sickened by toxic chemicals are more susceptible to bacterial and viral infection. It's obvious that if the body is busy trying to heal damage from toxic air that the immune system has less strength to wipe out infections. And antibiotics are quickly losing their effectiveness.

What's worse is that it won't kill off everyone quickly, but instead a rapidly growing percentage of the population will suffer horribly for years before death (with health care support and resources shrinking as rapidly).

Our bodies respond badly to oxygen deprivation: 1) our bodies stop producing calming endorphins; and, 2) cancer grows when and where oxygen is deficient. I'm not sure if it bothers the crazy and ignorant people as much, or at all. They're very insensitive to their bodies--to feelings--so it's hard to say. It may bother them physically but not emotionally because they do not understand it is death. Be a shame to worry about them if they don't suffer themselves worrying about it.

Obviously the answer is to pack Europe with millions more stinking 3rd world savages to pump more fumes into the air.

That is what they get for thinking diesel is cleaner

This may be one of the many compounding reasons why we are all going slowly mad.

And I very much believe that we are; every one of us.
>>
>>101120
It's not permanent though. Europe is in an exceptionally bad cold wave right now so cities are generating a lot of smog by burning stuff to keep buildings warm.
>>
>>101549
With what machines?
>>
>>101575
That's not the reason.
