Wet Ride

Ok so you know all the precautions you take when regular riding? Just slightly exaggerate them

>Give yourself lots of space
>Don't go too fast
>Brake earlier than usual, wet brakes work fine, but not as good as dry brakes
>Slow down a good bit when approaching turns

Oh and also try as hard as possible to avoid puddles, you never know if there's a pothole (and how deep it is) under there.

Basically, just use common sense and install fenders to keep yourself dry.

Good advice but you left out: be very afraid of metal, it turns to ice when it's wet

Also cagers are nicer when the weather is shit, for some reason. It's my favorite time to ride.

also be very afraid of the white coating on roads, they become extremely slippery when wet. make sure you are perpendicular to the road when going over them and not at an angle while turning.

This is also true. However, the white paint is never used structurally, whereas when you encounter metal, there's also usually some kind of countours, grates, or ledges involved. That's what makes it extraordinarily dangerous to inexperienced riders.

Railroad tracks, metal reinforced curbs, storm drains, manhole covers, and such. Bad news if you're a new cyclist. Especially railroad tracks.
