How do i get this lockring off, its a Novatec d711
Claw spanner or a dedicated tool.
Can't seem to find that tool :-(
Model number
why does it need to be off? If so I bet you could wrap a towel and use a visegrip to wrench it off. Not sure how to rescrew it back on so probably a one time deal if u don't have the proper tooling

OP a pin spanner or snap ring pliers are what you need. If you're at home, sometimes you can improvise a pair of tweezers, or if the locking isn't very tight, a pair of small allen wrenches (put each in a hole, turn as a pair) can work.

Cartridge bearings? Yikes, I would rather buy new hubs/wheels.
>>954539
Changing cartridge bearings is waaayyyy easier than fucking with cups and cones. You can change cartridge bearings with a rock and stick if you really had to.

What the fuck is /n/'s problem with modern tech?
>cartridge bearings are hard

>ask for advice in a thread
>get told it cant be done
>2 autistic fucks start arguing and getting off topic
>finally start doing my own research
>realize those guys while having a basic idea didnt really know what they were talking about when it came to specifics
>able to fix what I needed because I finally did my own work and got what I needed
GL op you are probably better off doing your own research into it.
