But seriously, in Springtime when nice riding weather returns, I just start increasing my mileage gradually from day-to-day and week-to-week. Every week I push my total/max length ride a little further out.

I never stopped... I don't understand why all but the very casual cyclists are such pussies about winter riding.

Here it never goes below 5 C, around 10-12 C in the coldest mornings so its pretty comfy to ride.

Usually to improve my bicycle riding capabilities I do something a little abstract: I RIDE my BICYCLE.

I've been sick for three months. I'm going to be so fucked this year. I just wanna ride goddamnit.

I actually had some medical troubles that prevented me from riding as much as id like, and at all. I have a trainer, but i didnt use it because it was sort of depressing at the time. i figured id just mountain bike to get my stamina back up, and then move to my road bike in a week or two.
