While difference in performance between groupsets shrinks with Shimano's most recent road generations, close inspection of the preview photos of the new sora crankset make it look like it still has a lower quality finish. It will almost certainly be better performance for the money, but it won't make it a "nice" group imo

Fuji has amazing frame quality. You are going to love the ride quality on it. The stiffness is amazing and power transfer is tits. The ride is smooth as butter.

I have almost identical frame over 6K miles. I have zero plans of upgrading it. Like the other anon said, get nicer tires when they get bald.

I still didnt used it much often but i plan on using it for my school way ( about 8 km ,95% its some straight road cuz i life in some shithole with only villages around ) and driving in summer to relatives who are a little far away , just for fun . For rainy days etc i have some cheaper trekking bike .

Found it! Sora R3000. Look nice enough, but a minor upgrade if there ever was one. Hidden cables looks good, but also adds friction. A matter of priorities.
Crankset will surely be heavier than the old one just like 4600→4700 and just a cosmetic upgrade. A downgrade or at worst non-upgrade.
Brake upgrade is very welcome, but the biggest problem was the shit pads, and the new ones look just the same. May or may not have had a rubber tweak, but I doubt it.

I wouldn't be angsty about missing out on this refresh.

Because it is a great bike and comes with full 105 groupset, weighs around 8kg etc.

But most of all because I have one and love it and other people should love it as well :^)

You may already know this, but... The Sportster is an stvzo lamp, and the top should be horizontal when in use. Aimed straight ahead it will actually shine downward with a very well thought out pattern.
