I'd like Santa to bring me a set of 10-sp Campy shifters, a pair of lobster gloves to replace the ones I can't find, a bottle of nice bourbon, and a couple pounds of good single-estate Assam tea. Will I get (or even ask for) any of this? Nope.

More realistically, I will be very happy if my family members bring better deserts to contribute to the annual Christmas dinner I host than they did to this past Thanksgiving.

Honestly, unless you spend the big bucks and get one that connects to your TV and shows you routes and stuff, he is 100% correct. I bought one for the -15 degree winters here and I absolutely hate it. Since I actually enjoy cycling, the trainer almost ruins it. If you just bike to work out then you might not be bothered so much

I would think having different size wheels is bad. The front wheel can decelerate faster than the rear causing an imbalance. The front wheel will be spinning faster and take more power to reach speed. I suppose it could make tighter turns, but then you still have an imbalance. With the rake and body weight there is a lot of pressure on that front wheel. It seems dumb.

I got a pair of kinda rare Campy Record 9sp Ti levers that have the nice look of the 8sp levers, but with 9sp internals. With a shiftmate 4, I'll be able to free one of my favorite bikes from barcon hell.
