No
>>
Normally no, but it's bug season and I've already had a couple of ones inside my eye when going downhill, so I'll probably get some clear safety glasses or something
>>
In the summer, sure

It's dark now and my morning ride and evening ride are both unaffected by Mr. Sun

So I just wear clear safety goggles

Sadly no, I need to wear eyeglasses to avoid riding into things, but don't really have the funds for prescription sunglasses.

My dude, zenni optical is your friend.

>tfw $20 prescription sunglasses

Feels good, man.
>>
>>893696
How are they? There's only one set of sports sunglasses without inserts, and I don't know what the quality of the ones with inserts is like? How are yours?
>>
>>893690
hahaha you still post here?
>>
>>893652
Yep, prescription sports ones (not cycling specific) that have three lenses: dark lenses, high contrast (orange) lenses and clear lenses. Started off using the dark lenses exclusively but I've started to use the contrast ones more because they're better for morning riding.
>>
>>893697
>>893696
Also curious about zenni
>>
I can't stand viewing the world through rose-tinted, or for that matter, any other tinted lenses.
>>
>>893721
I'm >>893697. I've ordered from Zenni, mostly the 6.95 stuff, just never the goggles. The quality is not as good as optometrist or designer brands, but they are still very good if you tend to lose glasses and they work well. They're durable enough, maybe a little more flimsy than name brand stuff, not not flimsy piece of shit that falls apart level. I've never bought domestic economy prescription glasses before, but I imagine the quality is similar.

Prescription glasses/sunglasses whenever I'm riding depending on the weather. Both of them Oakley.
>>
>>893697
>>893721

I get the cheap sunglasses for riding, usually a couple of pairs and rotate between them. I haven't tried the sports goggles but they have a small selection. I get my regular eyewear from them now too. The "premium" glasses cost about $25-$40 and I feel they are comparable to name brands. The cheapest ones definitely look and feel cheap, but everything costs low enough to get multiple pairs as backups or whatever. Not to sound like a shill, but I'll never buy name brand glasses again.

Anyone knows cycling photochromic glasses that go from category 0 to 2 (i.e. turn completely transparent when it's dark)? Most cycling glasses are rated 1 to 3.
I often ride to work when it's bright but come back at night, and I hate swapping lenses.
I know Shimano makes some but I don't like how they fit.

I bought these chinese knockoffs on ebay, and they are REALLY good. They came with polarized lenses and everything, and they are almost indistinguishable from the real ones my uncle has.

I use these safety glasses from the hardware store. And I only use them at winter when the cold air and high speed makes me cry like a bitch.
>>
For city errands no, only if I have sunglasses as a part of my outfit in the summer.

On weekend rides yes because noon sun in the summer is fucking awful to my eyes + I go faster so wind and bugs make my eyes water.

I have 2 cycling eyewear - black tint for sunny days and yellow for night/dusk/dawn. They both cost like 5 euro each but they do what I want them to do and have comfy, almost elastic frames.

So basically "any eyewear at all makes you a douchebag" and also "not wearing eyewear makes you a douchebag"
>>
>>894668
Sorry, I was just referring to the blade looking ones. I just think they are really silly.
Is this just me and my circle of friends?
I am from the part of the world Trey and Matt are from and those glasses are ridiculed here.
>>
>>894669
But you said "all of /n/" which presumably also includes the foamers and the fsX "pilots" in addition to the people in this thread.

In any case, if you shaved your legs and put on Lycra tights, I seriously doubt "gay" wraparound aero sunglasses is on your list of worries at that point.

I think you are confused, those are cycling glasses, they protect you not only from the sun but from the wind (if you have ever gone fast you know how watery your ayes can get) and from impacts (bugs, pebbles, etc). More casual eyewear don't offer this benefits, plus they don't wrap around your head as firmly as cycing specific ones.

Typically you use cycling sunglasses only when you are on the bike only "douchebags" do otherwise.

Quite frankly the best sunglass out there, imo much better than the Jawbreakers but annoyingly not available in Prizm lenses. Fuckin' Oakley. Gonna have to get Radar Edge Pitch or something now

If I'm going fast, I wear some cheap sports sunglasses from Ross, because San Diego = sun all day every day

If I'm cruising on the beach or whatever just Oakley Jupiter Squared

Clear safety glasses are top-tier.

Also, wearing mirrored glasses on or off a bike is high level autism
>>
>>893652
Using the dark ones for sunny weather the clear ones for everything else.
They cost 3 dollars each, and althrough the lenses are easy to scratch but since they are safety glasses they literally are shatter proof, and almost indestructible under normal circumstances.
