My experience outside of this city is limited, but so far things have been good. Very few negative interactions with drivers over several thousand kilometres.

There are nice MUPs and things around the city. Hills to the south and east with varying degrees of difficultly in the climbs, but if you're looking for really long mountain ascents you'll probably be disappointed.

Still dragging my heels on getting into racing but there seem to be a decent number of group rides and events if that's your thing.

Not too sure on mountain biking, I know there's a couple of parks around but no gondolas or anything like that.
