It's like you hate the warm soothing light markings of your incadescent headlight, illuminating the road before just enough to pave the way for a safe journey on a slightly windy tuesday night.

what decade are you living in? that stuff fits inside the headlight, if I'm not mistaken it's even legally required in germany that all headlights be dyno driven but have enough capacity inside the light to keep the light on when you're stopped for something like 20 minutes idle time

Does your bike have solid wooden wheels, too?

While we're on the subject (OP's faggotry not withstanding), has anyone ever come across a dynamo hub that generates MORE than 3 watts? I'd be interested in 10 to 20 watts.

the last time I rode a bike with le dynamo meme in the middle of the night it was an ancient Hercules. Fuck me the headlight was so dim the only thing lighting the surface in front of me were the headlights of cars passing me.

Yeah and the legal requirements as to where to put a rear light would need you to sport a fucking rear rack on that €10k specialized fredmachine.
If it wasn't a dead fucking law.

juss put it on the seatpost

no, they changed that law in 2013
>>

lol... I had one of those. My experience was about the same as Bart's.
>>
>>1101958
You realize that meth doesn't actually make you any smarter, it just makes you feel like every idea you are having is the best idea you've ever had.
>>
>>1101757
Except the dark months in your country are rainy mix of mud and salted snow where the dynamo looses any traction and every wire connection point corrodes green or gets shorted to frame.
>>
Dynamos dont make sense anymore
>>
>>1103539
Buy a better dynamo
>>
>>1102684
LOL as much as friction-powered dynamos are 1940's garbage to be put in the e-waste bin, I have to say if you had *that* experience with one, then you're too WEAK to be riding a bike and need to improve yourself.
>>
>>1103539
First of all if the connections are corroding then you probably bought cheap Chinese garbage that just barely worked in the first place and wasn't built to last.

Secondly what someone like you needs is a dyanmo front wheel, that feeds a Li+ battery pack, which is connected to a white LED headlight that has a switch to turn it on and off. In daylight hours you're charging the battery pack, and at night the battery pack is keeping the light steady regardless of road speed, and your riding is carrying part of the load on the battery pack, extending it's runtime. Setups like this also have the battery pack USB rechargable, so you can take it in with you when you're done riding, plug it in, and keep it fully charged. Don't screw up and you'll never be without a working headlight on any nighttime ride.
>>
>>1103576
>that feeds a Li+ battery pack, which is connected to a white LED headlight that has a switch to turn it on and off.
How about I already have this in a sealed, self contained, blinding 15$ unit and don't need additional 50$+ frankenwiring.
>>
>>1103581
Whatever the fuck floats your boat, dude. I'm tired of arguing with faggots on the Internet.
>>
>>1103574
Hehheh.. I was 12 back then. But I figured out a way to put 4 Radio Shack NiCad AA batteries inside the light housing and get rid of the dynamo. Not bad for 1982 eh?

But the dynamo method was better than me being 7 trying to ride my single speed bike while cranking on a Flashbrite. :-P
