For me it's the parclo interchange

>sharp circle entrance ramp
>Encountering traffic lights immediately upon exiting the freeway
Why is this better than a full clover?
>>1101374
It's almost entirely at grade so it's much less expensive. Also full clover is not necessary for arterial road exits only for other freeway connections
>>1101374
Less weaving
>>1101374
Let me guess: Your idea of a full clover doesn't have collector-distributor road.
>>1101376
You know what's much less expensive? Not building cager highways and using rail for freight.
>>1101370
Clover is best.
Freeway uturns and the ability to go from travel in any direction to travel in any direction is hard to beat.
That combined with the wide/loose turns, high speed, and high throughput makes it the one for me.

Eh, I would be inclined to agree if our rail infrastructure was reestablished from a clean slate and had self contained and buried railways.
(No snow/hazards, ability to more effectively automate because weather/temp don't impact max speed, reinforced dividers on turns to prohibit derailing, etc)
As it stands now rail is only good for mass transport and predictable transport. Sure you can make an argument that it works for rail towns, but they're fucking rail towns.

how to get to next city separated by 100km of this

> "buried railways"
What's the point? You learn to live with the elements on mainline rail. Nothing much happens.
> "weather/temp don't impact max speed,"
Tracks does.
> ability to more effectively automate because of the above
Wut.

for me it's either teardrop or roundhouse
