I am getting pretty tired of being stuck to the ground and my nightly dreams of flying aren't going away. I need an air craft of any kind, Ill attempt to build it by hand if I have to god damn it!
What kind of craft should I be looking into? I've read a lot about paragliders, paramotors, backpack helicopters and trikes and what not.
also I am quite poor, if it must come down to me stealing farm equipment because I'll never be able to afford it then so be it.
p.s. fuck birds

Your other option is to go the FPV RC Aircraft route. Fixed-wing can be pretty inexpensive, and you can even do FPV sailplane stuff these days. You get a lot of the catharsis of flying with only a small percentage of the hassle and expense... though there is still quite a bit of hassle and expense desu.
Hang glide, catch pockets of up drafts, and hope to god you don't find yourself in violent turbulence
Powered paraglider is easily the cheapest and simplest way to get airborne, no license, can be had NEW for under 10k
If you are serious about getting in to diy hang gliders, take plans from the 70's. But add modern advancements... Like luff lines. These things are dangerous enough without going in to an unrecoverable dive.

Probably better for a rookie^
