1. Post your average sustained speed under neutral conditions. Flat road, no wind, no drafting.
2. Post your bike or legs.
3. Judge others.

Mine's about 18.5 mph
>>
35kmh
>>
No idea, I'm not racing anyone

37.4 km/hr for one hour. I hate the flats, it was some time ago and I have gained some mass so I guess my average is a little higher now.

Already posted my legs in the legs thread, guess which are ;^)

>>
My only reference is multi day touring. I aim for 100km a day on flattish stages. That usually translates to a 24 kmh average.
>>
Honestly? I have no fking idea. Around these parts (SoCal) you'll rarely be able to encounter ideal conditions - you have crosswinds, hills, pedestrian/cyclists traffic.

Cruising is easily 16-18mph for 1:30.
Top sustained is 20-21mph for 45 minutes.
23mph+ for 5-10 minutes at most.
>>
>>1083720
Sustained speed — all day with proper food and water.
>>
>>1083697
23.5mph for 10 miles
20mph for 40 miles
>>
Depends on distance.

When I was doing a cycle tour it was 25kmph for 200km a day.

50km I can do about 45kmph for 70 or so minutes it takes.

100-120km can sustain about 32-35kmph
>>
I can average about 23mph on my 10 mile ride to and from work, it's about 16mph on longer rides because I like to look at nature and shit when I'm riding for a long period.

>Lifted and high stem.

I think you need to check your speedometer wheel diameter settings because that simply isn't the truth. You using GPS for your numbers?

I don't know.

But my daily ride is exactly 58 minutes and mostly uphill with intermittent flats, which puts my average at 20 kph*

With a big backpack I did 28km/h for 60km.
I´m more of a climber.

I'm completely untrained and just got into cycling. I rode 14 miles today at an average speed of 11mph, and I was tired afterwards. When will I make it?
>>
>>1086306

When the sun rises in the West.
When the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind, like leaves.

>It is known
>>
>>1086089

Hahah, what the fuck is wrong with you? Made me laugh. X'D
>>
Slow walking: 3.1 mph

Brisk base: 5.2 mph

You cycle at 6-12 mph..... you're very slow.

Means that people jogging regularly pass you on your road bike going 100%

ive been wondring how fast i am. how do u calculate this do u find a set distance ride it and divide by the hours it takes or use a gps or something
>>
>>1086999
Distance divided by time gives you your average speed.
But most cycling computers and Apps give you a average speed reading.
>>
19mph on a century (city with lots of slow and stops), i could hold 23mph for about an hour during that century.

My numbers have skyrocketed, beginning of the season, I was getting passed by mtn bikes going 16

Lurk reddit and you will see plenty of racing bikes that are too expensive and have extremely casual fit with happy stems and lots of spacers.
