Have you ever hitchhiked?

Yes, and I don't think I'll ever do it again
Listening to the incoherent rambling of dumb truckers for hours at a time when the only thing you want to do is sleep wasn't very enjoyable

No more of that talk or I'll put the fucking leeches on you, understand?

Did it in France with my gf. Started in South Germany. First ride took us to Switzerland, next one into France and we spent two weeks there only with sleeping bags.
Met a bunch of nice people, got invited a few times to share meals (by poorfags and middle-class) and could use beds, saw lots of nice places and basically had a fantastic time.

>allowing yourself to pass out in a trucker's cab
It's like you want to get raped.

yes, once.
>Amerifag visiting Toronto
>take train to the end of the line west
>some shitty suburban mall
>have huge framepack with camping gear, nobody is feeling my steez
>standing out like a sore thumb
>wonder if cops will bust me for trying to hitchhike and get deported
>put thumb out on highway headed north
>picked up almost instantly
>him and 2 other cars get me to Awenda Provincial Park on Lake Huron
>beautiful
>camp 2 nights then leave
>walk out of park and thumb it
>ranger gets me to highway
>another dude takes me right back into Toronto

Twice, never again. Both times I cut the ride short and then called the cops to report drunk driving.

Are you me?
The only time I did it that exact same thing happened. And the worst part is, the girl traveling with me was able to fell asleep in the back while the trucker rambled on.

I did it for from 3rd to 8th grade every day. I was living in the middle of nowhere and my school was ~5km away.
Some people like to stay quiet.
Some like to small talk.
