I need help buying replacement headset bearings.

I have an 09 Marin Mount Vision 5.6 with notchy bearings. (1 1/8 headset)

How do I know what specific size or numbers am I looking for when buying replacements?

From what I can tell is it has a TH-888 headset? There is very little I can find about TH-888.

it's either going to be an intergral or intergrated.

Is it actually a 2009, or a 2010 like in the photo you posted? If it's a 2009 it has an old style external headset, sometime called traditional. If it's a 2010 it has an integral headset, sometimes called semi integrated, that still has cups that press into the frame that the bearings then sit in.

just google the model#- the whole headset with bearings is at amazon and jensen for under $12

From the pic it looks integrated, my bike takes zero stack cup on the lower.

It's an '09 from my understanding.
Yes, the photo is of my rig.

I feel like such a noob.
I come from a motorbike and car mechanical background and just got into biking so gotta learn the lingo.

I will pull it apart in the weekend when I have time and see what I find.

I was giving x2 bearing carriers (like the one in the photo) by a fella at the bike shop.. Hope they do the trick!

Cheers for your help kiddo's

while it is nice of you to help, please don't discourage newcomers from making bike threads. the generals were created as a "separate but equal" bantustan at the behest of trainfags, shipfags, and planefags. cyclists, being relaxed and accommodating by nature, fell for it, but its primary intent was to stigmatize the idea that bikes are transportation because of entrenched cager mentality

Then you have a 2010, that's when they moved to integral headsets and the decals also changed, yours has 120 on the swingarm where as 2009 and older said quad XC.
