I almost never wear a helmet when biking for transportation.

I keep it in the store. I don't wear a helmet on my bike for the same reason why I don't wear one when I'm walking.

I carry it with me when I walk into a store. If I can fit it in my backpack or pannier it goes in there. On hot days I leave it at home. I often climb with it dangling from handlebars to keep my head dry and cool.

I don't wear a helmet for protecting my nogging while transporting. I wear it to avoid extra attention, and sometimes to shield eyes from sun/rain.

I lock it with my bike, the lock goes easily through one of the helmet vents

I never wear a helmet while riding for transport. If riding for transport then falls that don't land me under a cage aren't going to hurt me at 13-15mph.

I just hang it on my handle bars. It's a cheap one, and most people hate them anyway, so I never worry about theft.

Mostly I clip it around one of my backpack straps. If the place is safe i just leave it on seat or handlebars. Sometimes loop the lock trough vent hole or strap.

Mostly worry about it getting wet if it starts to rain or being vandalized. Depending on helmet it's unlikely for it being stolen.

I keep my helmet with me. If I'm only off my bike briefly, I keep the helmet on, otherwise I'll clip it to my backpack.
If you want to lock your helmet just put the lock through one of the straps.

That said, if I am wearing one for some reason and need to get off my bike, I just loop my U-Lock through it.

If im biking to work, gloves go on helmet, helmet goes in pannier.

If im going to the store, helmet connects the wheel and frame. If some asshole is going to cut my lock steal my bike I cant stop them, but adding the extra step is funny enough for me to do it.
