More like >>>/2014/. Lets see if we can get some mountain goating back up in this bitch.
>>1054982
Careful now anon. You wouldn't want to disturb SI anon's grave...
I managed to get 30km/h average with some mild 5-6% climbs thrown in once. No 20 mph, but shit was cash nonetheless.

Feeling great this week. My car broke down last weekend so I've had to get a lift to work every morning and rode my bike home nearly every day.
Lot of shitty hills between my house and my work but I got some good rides, plenty of distance and some nice solid hills and am feeling fantastic.

>tfw friends
It's almost always windy here even though it's getting warmer.
>tfw you flag someone's KOM
>tfw you flag a heavily contested segment as dangerous

Burger King?
>mfw people constnatly tell me to "take better care of" my bike shit
>get a worn out bottom bracket "clean your bike"
>shifter cable breaks after 10k+ miles and I'm just clueless and assume the shit doesn't need replaced that often "clean your bike"
>low quality rear wheels wear out after like 15k miles "clean your bike dude seruiously"
>shifter breaks after 20k miles and 5+ race crashes "clean your bike!"
>get a flat tire on mtb "clean your bike!!!"
>seriously man clean your bike things will not wear out at all if you clean it!!!
>"woah there is a few patches of dirt and dust attached to your frame? holy fuck your whole bike is going to disintegrate !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
>>1058258
Forgot one
>your chain wore out after 2.5k miles? WTF dude clean that shit and buy $15 per ounce bike lube... dont use any old oil. holy fuck chains should last years
I went for a 15-20 minute effort to benchmark where how slow I am right now and wew. I'm very slow.
I definitely felt an improvement compared to the last weeks but jaysus I used to be waaaay faster. I've yet to manage doing this climb in 12:30, but I don't know if that will be possible without going back to full-on mountain goating 15h a week.
>>1058258
>not realizing that cleaning your bike regularly conditions you to visually inspect your bike often and potentially catch problems before they develop into total mechanical failures.
>>1054975
forever bottom of the leaderboard.
>>1058259
you get 2.5k out of your chains? fuck I'm only getting about 1500
>>1054975
who /seattle/ here trying to find a riding buddy for either road or mountain biking?
>>1058778
>thinking that is the only way someone will be aware of shit like that
Not that I am particularly aware, but really I replace the main bearings (bottom bracket) that get fucked, fairly regularly. There is only so many wear items on a bike. I mean the cable snapping was just ignorance, I could've replaced it after like 10k miles but I didn't. It snapped somewhere internally so really even if I was lifting the brake hood rubbers up I wouldn't have seen it. The only other problem I have is I'm way too poor to afford new wheels so I end up riding 15-20k miles or more on a $300-500 wheelset. Obviously it'll be fucked after that. Everyone I know blames that on shit I said before lol
This guy seems weird, he has a bunch of KOMs where hes a lot faster than anyone else on some segments but all his rides are less than 20 km and are pretty much only on those segments.
Some of them are also split KOMs with banned(I think) users

It's called "segment hunting" sperglord. It's fun. You get to steal KOMs from normies.
Am I doing it right?
>>1058784
yea cause you ride in inclement weather and mountain passes and other anon just rides around the block on the sidewalk so his chains last longer cause less stress lol
>>1058769
Did that one in 17:18
I felt like I was going fast ...
Then gain I'm overweight, it was 34 degrees Fahrenheit, I have no mountains at home to train on and it was on the 4th day of a cycling holiday so I have a few excuses, I think.

SENPAI NOTICED ME
tfw you are in a breakaway with 2 other people and your pulls are 420 watts and theirs are 350 watts and they yell at you to let them pull
>let them pull
>field closes a 20 sec gap in 3 minutes
other races
>"breakaways in the first 1/3 of the race NEVER last"
>breakaway forms in 2 minutes and stays away whole race because on you and one other guy are willing to put in effort to reel in the break and the rest get in your rotation and FUCK you up the ass even if they don't have anyone in the break

Got a 120 km ride in yesterday during the only non-windy day this week. Managed a 2nd overall on another seldom run segment, just 15 attempts by 6 people, 9 of which are mine. I don't think many people are aware the road that segment leads to was paved 2 years ago.
Wind will be 60 gusting to 80 km/h today and a little less than that most of the weekend.
won my state TT last weekend
seth is back so i feel obligated to ride
prediction: within 1 year time i will be at a race seth is at. I missed him at Joe Martin this year in favor of my local stage race but never again will I pass up the opportunity to unravel the mystery.

Garrett pls follow me back on strava
I am in FS on Strava but I have never used the Strava app and I usually don't have my phone with me when I ride. How do you feel about me, /n/?

I'm in the top 3. Where I live is insanely windy so my rides rarely average higher than 18. Only time it gets higher than that is in a race or our practice "race" my bike friends have here where we go hard for about 20 miles I think? With like 10 miles of conversational pace.
I keep trying. I felt better for a few days, burying my head in the sand and deluding myself into thinking I have a future of some kind. Its amazing how quickly the mood can change when the immediate feelings of worthlessness and no hope are removed. I even meditated the past few days and felt a lot better inside. But you can't hide for long. It comes back stronger. Bottom line - No Future. Just fucking trapped. Don't want to be NEET, don't want to be a fucking wageslave. Want independence so fucking badly, don't want to leave the house. Its catch 22 all the way
>>1064881
Is this Seth copying Seth or Seth copying someone else. Also, stop copying me Seth and go for a ride.

why doesn't this mongoloid platform just let u upload pictures to the website
Does anyone else just feel like they can crank out unlimited watts for unlimited time?
>>1065293
If by unlimited watts you mean ~75 and unlimited time you mean ten minutes
>>1065293
>feels like im pushing 400w
>its actually only 190w
Such is the life of a casul
>>1064994
if you have the app on your phone you can edit the ride and include photos there
>>1064984
holy crap fellow da/n/e .. how many times did you lap this tiny piece of the island? doesnt it get boring after 5 laps?
fellow Dane here, from Aarhus.
>>1065316
5 laps i think, it was a race so it was ok
>>1065312
I have a
>windows phone
so no official strava app
Think I might get an android emulator for my pc though
some old fred tried to suck my wheel when I passed him doing 365w into a headwind... too bad he was too weak and he dropped off soon thereafter with no increase in pace from me lmoa
>>1065640
I know that feel bro lmoa. Also that nifty feeling when you've been casually spinning at 250 watts for the last 3 and a half hours and some guy passes you panting and then you just cruise at lower zone 2 and drop him while he grimaces and shouts "dude! It's not a race and I've been out for 45 minutes already!"
I've been having trouble with Strava for the last couple months. Started using it last summer and always got a gps signal immediately but now it takes forever to get one and I always have to start my phone anew everytime and even that doesn't always get me a signal. Also the last routes it often happend that it lost the signal during cycling, which never happend before and I always drive the same routes.
Got a new phone recently too and the problems are still there so it can't have anything to do with the phones.
