Are there any websites that have steam loco diagrams other than rr-fallenflags? Also steam engine thread. What I'm currently trying to model.
>>

Looking to make a model of this DL&W 4-6-0. I've been able to find the original (though basic) drawings of this engine in the attached pic. They were originally camelbacks that they converted to conventional cabs in the later years but there doesn't seem to be any drawings of them during their conversion. Trying to make this in HO scale without just eyeballing it

Honestly, I haven't ever seen detailed drawings like you are asking. Only the basic type like the one you've posted.

Has Model Railroader Magazine ever done any? Occasionally you see diesels.

Union Pacific #844, an FEF3 class 4-8-4 Northern. She has the distinction of being the only steam locomotive never pulled off the active roster by a class I railroad. She mostly runs excursions, but she is still considered an active locomotive by Union Pacific and has been diverted from excursion duties to assist freight trains when they have a locomotive break down.

Union Pacific #3967 4-6-6-4 Challenger articulated locomotive. Also one the UP active roster. Currently the largest steam locomotive still operational. Like the #844, the #3967 is used primarily for excursion duties but has also been pressed into service to assist freight trains that experienced a locomotive break down.

Nice, that's really neat.
But how bad is up if they don't have any backup locos?
