Sup /n/ I am thinking of going to Tasmania for a holiday next year but I am having a problem figuring out how I will get around as I don't have a car or license.
There are no trains.
At all.
Are there regular public transi buses around the state?
Are there tour coaches?
What's the deal?
90s rigid MTB

I assume riding around Tasmania would mean gravel and shit

Knobs don't do shit for gravel, volume does. Mr. Heine agreed, don't bother him about it.
So if we could get back to being serious, nobody knows about public transport buses or tour coaches down there?
You have to spin in a circle so fast that you create a personal tornado.
Is searching for "bus tours Tasmania" really that hard?
I think you might be able to buy a shitbox car for like $500

I used to live in Tasmania
You could potentially bike from top to bottom in a day if you weren't to make any stops, just bring snacks and water and a phone.
There are coaches to every decently sized town and they're quite cheap, though smaller ones typically only get buses twice a day in either direction.
Yes there are tour buses but those are usually packed with Asians and are more about turning a buck and assisting with language barriers then giving you a satisfying taste of the state.
Freighthopping is an effective means of getting around tassie also but I wouldn't recommend it to anybody who has to think twice about it.
Hope you enjoy your trip
how accurate is the kettering incident ?
Local Tasmanian here
Yes we have buses, they are full of bogans so yeah proceed with caution.
Taxis are expensive.
In short, OP get your license then come to Tassie, all the best things to do are at least a 30 min drive away from Hobart so yeah, Get your license ya lazy bastard

Just go to New Zealand, it's the same kind of place but better. Much, much nicer looking too
Tasmania is an inbred shithole that mainland Australians pretend doesn't exist.
