The buses here use CNG and the drivers either take a bus or use a company car that runs on e85.

The Borismaster has a tiny 4.5l engine which runs only to generate current and charge batteries. The drive system is electric motors. This is incredibly efficient. Furthermore, there are full battery buses in operation and more hybrid versions. All are less smelly and less noisy than the old buses, when I see an old ALX400 these days it is deafening and smelly.

Even here in Spain bus stations attract the fucking scum of humanity. It's really amazing, it's not like regular trains (non-HSR) are significantly more expensive, but it's like at train stations there's middle and lower-class people mostly but they're generally quite normal, yet you go to the bus station and it's like you crossed into another dimension. A terrible, smelly dimension full of junkies and shitskins. It really amazes me that people would go through this to save 4 or 5 euros on a 30 euro train ticket.
