Sleep in a hammock.
A LOT lighter (and smaller) than tent/sleeping pad.
As long as you can find two trees 9-15 feet apart it sets up much faster than a tent. You don't have to clear the ground of rocks and twigs.
The ground doesn't have to be level, or dry.
Bags will destroy your frame paint or worse if you have a carbon frame. Use tape/roll cuts of old tube around the frame where the bags are in contact to prevent that.

Ever been in a hammock?
It feels like getting a hernia trying to get out of one while conscious and coordinated. I don't think it's physically possible to fall out of one in your sleep.

This is really good advice, generally I wrap everything metal that touches my frame with an old tube. Solid.

Can you sleep on your side in one? I can't fall asleep lying on my back.
