Saw a jet overshoot the runway on a flight today.
Interesting sight to see.

Jesus fuck, what was he doing there!?
Not as close as on my PPL flight test, but going different directions at very different speeds.. I'd have almost shat myself.

lord knows man. Thought I'd have a free day on my hands but most of it was spent filing the incident report
>>1017396
So did he try to turn and make it or kept going? Did he actually land there? I'm all about flying low and taking chances but fuckin up is absolutely embarrassing ....I'm curious what this guy did after
>>1017555
The photo is blurry, it's a screenshot of a video I took. But that plane is not flying, it's resting in the trees.
>>1017557
Wait, how? How do you end up like that? Was he trying to turn base while picking flowers outside of the canopy? How does that happen?
>>1017565
there's an investigation going on now apparently.
But evidently he overshot the runway, landing too far down the runway, and didn't have enough power to take off again.
He pulled up at the last second but clipped the trees and somehow ended up like this.

So you were landing north and you actually saw the aftermath of a fuck up by a plane landing south . I mean its cool and all but your original post is more than a bit misleading
>>1017554
And why the fuck would you have to file an incident report for some shit that happened yesterday when you were no where around????
>>1017570
Did the pilot skip the "runway markings" part of ground school? Was he overloaded?
>>1017581
I have no idea if he was overloaded, but by the time he had wheels on the ground, it was far too short of an area to successfully stop

WEW LAD
>>1017668
Shit man, I just read that story online, looks like his crash faired a lot worse than what i saw
>>1017718
He was trying to kill himself purportedly.
>>1017940
That's truly epic failure if you can't kill yourself by crashing a plane.
>>1017949
He did though. The instructor is the one that lived.
