What is /n/'s opinion on 80s rigid mtbs?
>>1015474
0/10, not collectable objects.
Geometry is too relaxed
Also, is that the "when you find out one of your friends is a bigot" guy behind the bike?

Compared to 90s rigid mtbs?

Yes

what?
>yfw Bike autismos are on par with train autismos
you don't want to admit it but it's true.
Rigid is my favourite, it makes trail riding a challenge. I'm glad Surly are holding the torch for rigid and augmented it with plus tyres. I think 29+ full rigid bikes are the best fun like Jones plus, Krampus and ECR.
The new non-corrected Surly Troll looks pretty sweet too.

This.
I've owned a couple different 80's mountain bikes and on trails the geometry makes them handle like boats. Totally rad for bombing down a smooth twisty trail or a gravel fire road, but the long wheelbase really limits what you can do on more technical trails. I have modern CX bike and would much, much rather ride it on a rough mountain bike trail than any 80's mountain bike.

True, I took pic related on some ez pz trails and it was fun, but once shit got technical you gotta be careful or walk.
I only bought it for a winter commuter though, I have some Schwalbe Snow Studs for when things get icey.

Classic 650b wheels (1 3/8" wide) should fit fine on a 26" MTB frame. Brakes will be fucky but it makes for a great city bike.

Fuck off.
