looking for some feedback on my upper body position in pic related. Getting slight should discomfort on 70mile + rides.
cheers

That bike looks about a size too small and the stem about 20-30cm too short. Try getting a longer stem.
Otherwise saddle position looks fine.
Also your bars are tilted down
Gonna jump on this thread for a bike fit question:
I've got stubby ass legs for my height (78cm inseam and 184cm tall). Am I right in thinking I should spring for a smaller bike that fits my inseam size and slap a long stem on it if the reach is too short?
>tfw correct inseam size bike is recommended for manlets
In pic 2, instead of hunching, roll your hips forward and keep your back a bit straighter.
If this puts pressure on you perineum, tilt your saddle nose down slightly (or get a different saddle).
Do core exercises. 30 seconds plank is a good one to start with.
Bike is a little too small. No fit will be perfect
Fix handlebar angle. Set saddle back a little further. Then longer stem.
I'm 6'5 and have felt major benefits from lowering my stem. I'm not sure why. Test out slamming the stem even if lowering the bars seems counter-intuitive

Consider a women's bike. Women have similar proportions. A women's legs are proportionality shorter
This Raleigh RX 1.0 was a fucking awesome paintjob for a women's bike
Long stem is probably the right move otherwise
Or get an MTB frame and do a drop bar conversion. MTB frames have long top tubes

Get a longer stem
thanks for the feedback guys, unfortunately I fell between sizes when i bought the bike and opted for a 56cm instead of the 58cm size. If the fitted stem is 100mm what length should I go up to? 120mm?

Probably a good bet. Most people who get into bike fit end up with a big collection of stems, so expect to buy a few. You can use them forever though.
UNO brand stems on eBay are widely considered the best buy for stems when weight and price are considered
How about your saddle and seatpost? Do you have a setback saddle?
I'm a little tall for my bike and I actually like riding a seatpost with zero setback (because the higher the saddle goes, the farther back it sits). If I ride with a set-back seatpost, My hips are too bent to be comfortable.
The best position I've found (I'm 6'4 on a 58cm frame) Is a very low, stubby stem, and a very high, zero-setback saddle
Now I'm looking at this picture and thinking your fit might be close to perfect, actually.
The only way to find out is by riding and experimenting. Expect it to take a year or more of tweaking. Every cm counts.

Try a longer stem.

What did you use to make that? And is there some sort of chart one can compare one's angles to the "proper" ones?
>>1006142
Get a longer stem. Probably good idea to find a cheap alu stem and buy a few different sizes. That way you can test out different sizes and how they feel. Then if you want to you can buy a nice expensive stem once you've dialed in the fit.

I'd size down and get a fuckhueg stem. Something in the 120 - 150 mm range is probably good.
If Hesjedal can do it you can too.

It's an iPad/iPhone app called Bike Fast Fit. I don't know if it's also on Android.
The correct angles are mentioned in the app but you can also Google it I guess.
