The Bonanza has been in continuous production for 70 years, longer than any other aircraft in history.
Let's have a celebratory thread.

Ten years ago at a small airpport in Los Alamos, one bonanza landed on top of another one.
Neither new the other was there untill they converged and were able to land nested together.
>Price of a new one is $700k
Fuck me.
>>1003420
You can find a used one for around $30K if you're savy enough.
a full carbon fibre/ composite variant would be nice
>>1003331
>"sassy"
topkek
>>1003322
MMmm yes.
>>1003327
Why are they infamous?
>>1003607
Generally hated by the pilot community.
>>1003608
god i fucking hate those conversions look like piper meridians or shit like that
>>1003318
Did the V-Tails have stability issues or some shit?
>>1003328
aww, that thing's so cute

>67 years old
How is this shit still airworthy.
>>1003415
daddy, how are bonanzas made?
>>1005356
Is that an ADF on top?
The more I look at it, the more it looks fucking retarded
>700 000 USD
That means you need to be 70% of a millionaire to own one. How awful.
>>1008065
The same way 67 years old cars are still road worthy. Good maintenance. Plus you can usually upgrade electronics i.e. safety systems if needed.
>>1005356
I could actually afford that without too much trouble...
Just need to get my PPL first.
>>1003308
doctor killers
What's the purpose of slanty elevators/rudders?
The v-tail? it has less drag due to fewer intersections around the tail.
The Bonanza has a reputation for not being stable in the yaw axis, and people try to blame the v-tail, but it's actually the length of the tailboom that's the issue- not the v-tail.
>>1003327
What are those wingtips? Extended range?
>>1010511
Combined surfaces, two vs three reduces drag..
>>1010470
pls explain
>>1011391
When a daddy airplane likes a mommy airplane....
>>1011594
No faggot.
Why are Bonanzas "doctor killers"?
Why do single prop planes still exist?
Isn't a bit like flying a helicopter without knowing how to autorotate?
>>1012170
I thought Cessna 310R was the doctor killer
>>1012654
fuck

Beechcraft is like the shittiest aircraft manufacture.
I'm not dissing Beech because of an opinion, It's because of facts. Besides, I own a Beech Travelair.
But, every single one of their planes has serious wing issues.
Take the T-34 (military bonanza) for example, there are at least 5 wing ADs. The North American T-28, which came out at the same time has 0 wing ADs. Matter of fact, the T-28A only has 3 ADs total. One for the Hamilton Standard prop (AD is for every HamStand prop in the US regardless of the aircraft), another AD for a engine data plate stamp, and the last AD for a nose gear inspection.
At the beginning of Vietnam, the Douglas A-26 was having wing failures from fatigue and stress cracks. Guess who built the wings on contract for Douglas. That's right, Beechcraft.
Coincidence?
>>1012170
They are called doctor/lawyer killers because when they first came out, they had magnesium ruddervator hinges that corroded like there was no tomorrow. So, a bunch started falling out of the sky within a few years after it came out. And the only people who were flying them at that time were doctors/lawyers.
It's an awesome device. I loved it when I flew my IR with it. It simple to operate, pretty fast, felt like an american car - apart from the doors, which are flimsy.
It'll always have a special place in my heart.
>>1011391
>>1012170
Because it's a fast "complex" aircraft. Doctors and not professional pilots fly only occasionally, so they're not always extremely confident with it.
Especially those with v-tails are more demanding to fly compared to your, say, cirrus sr22.
All the same, it's a beautiful device, albeit expensive to rent.
>>1013784
Shittier than manufacturers in China in India?
Oh 4chan/jewgle is stepping up with their captchas right now
>>1003322
>Pitot heat on
>KLAX on the map
HAHAHAHA LMAO
>>1003308
As a newfag I thought these were the models that crashed and killed many celebrities in the 50s-70s
>>1012177
huh?
they're orders of magnitude more economical to fly than anything else, and safe if flown correctly. You're uninitiated in GA so i'll forgive your ignorance.

>implying pilot isn't a wealthy ranch owner who landed on one of his fields
