Railway velocipedes, or rail-cycles, are like the bastard love children of bikes and trains. Post them ITT.

The worst of both worlds :)

The lack of symmetry in that design triggers me. I prefer this symmetrical one here:
some history

I would ride this 2bh.
>>1002684
that is actually brilliant, only have to take the wheels off and undo the clamp onto the stem and you have your normal bike back
imaging touring the us by abandoned rail tracks on that
What is the possible purpose of this?
>>1006030
Recreation, personal transport in remote rural areas with shit roads, track inspection, etc.
Also as a taxi service.

How do you carry the frame, though?

>imaging touring the us by abandoned rail tracks on that
Is there a map of all the abandoned rails somewhere?
>>1002691
I don't appreciate the chain slack
>>1002680
This shit would actually be useful to me, there's a scrap yard and a creek along the same railroad, and one of the tracks has been out of use for ~8 years

SO MUCH FUN!!!!!

We have quite a few tracks for that here in Denmark. Mostly being used by rural families, german tourists and other groups of people with a notorious lack of ideas of what constitutes fun
what if a train comes

Then you die
>>1002680
Why would you have upright saddles? Clearly a recumbent is the only answer.
>>1010437
That's fine. Really all cycling has some promise of death.
>>1010414
Pick it off the tracks and put it back on after the train passes. Most of the versions posted ITT look pretty light.

Is that a gas engine on the rear hub? That's cool as shit.
>>1002691
Looks good. But does not have marches, so it would be bad to ride. Just the most slow speed would be possible.
>bikes lets you go anywhere under your own power
>let's put them on a rail
nothing represents /n as well as rail-cycles
