Ok, Thanks for the tip mate.

an assorted group of strangers and I are driven by our personal chauffeurs, with the condition that the vehicle keep to a predetermined route for the sake of timeliness
pic related is our ride
I do have a Volvo S70 for when I need to go further than is feasible with a bike, or have tons of shit to carry. Gets hardly any use, mostly during winters to go skiing. The only trip I've taken on it after spring is to take it into the yearly inspection so that I can still keep driving it.
It's cheap and reliable so meets all the requirements I have for a car.

I drive a 2005 Volkswagen Golf GTI 1.8 turbo with the 5 speed auto. Was a good deal, so I gave it a pass on not having a manual
140,000 miles, rode hard but never put up wet

Same deal here, this is what my group's vehicle looks like

>implying you make anywhere near what I make
rurals are amusing with their matching his/hers jet-skis and the pride and joy of their existence, a shitbox with "don't tread on me" bumper stickers
your job as a water boy on the fracking rig doesn't impress anyone except strippers in a one-stoplight meth town

Stealing these.

2015 Toyota Corolla. No complaints, but nothing to rave about either. Does pretty good with fuel economy
If I need a cage, which is all of 3 times a year, I use lyft or rent a car.
I can even go hiking in the mountains with a combo of rail and cycle. Pft, what kind of lazy faggots depend on a cage on the daily in current year? Cycle master race.

When you work 10hrs a day, 5 days every week welding and fitting steel with a commute of around 45mi daily, the cage makes more sense than any other transit period. I make 400-1000 mile road trips nearly every month to visit friends and family, and my work schedule means I need to get there faster than a train and cheaper than a plane.
Not all of us have desk jobs and can pull 40hr weeks, and some of us have shit to do when we get home. Now, I really love riding, but it is no substitute - not even close.
2005 dodge dakota, I get 16-18 mpg... I really should buy myself a little honda or toyota that gets 30+ mpg

She's been rolling solid for a hundred thousand miles and has seen more mud than most douchebags' "muddin' trucks" purely out of necessity; I drive a ton for work, and its often not in nice terrain

Top 3 asshole vehicles, nice.

Because I don't want to live near where I work.
I'd prefer to not have my throat slit in my sleep by some crackhead who wants my watch and wallet
The only reason it's safe to work is because we have a barbed wire fence around the industrial park and guard booths at the entrances. I say all that and last year we had all of our welders stolen, liquid coolers, wire feeders, etc.
