listening to this now, first two tracks were hot garbage but Make It Right and Sky Is a Neighbourhood weren't bad

Nothing satisfies

It has incredibly smooth pacing and a few solid tracks. But its a foo fighters album. Its by no means adventurous. Take it as face value and you have a decent 6/10 here. Expect much more and prepare for disappointment. Happy Ever After is a fantastic song though.

yeah, i don't know why people are responding to this with "foo fighters have given up". they gave up when they released In Your Honor. i don't listen to this for thought-provoking music

In your honor is my favorite foos t b h
Haven't listened, but if it's Foo Fighters it can't be anything other than god awful

IMO a solid release. Nothing earth shattering, but more than I expected from the Foos at this point in their career. I found many of their later releases to be pretty stagnant, however this was surprisingly enjoyable the whole way through.

i'm not saying it's bad, it's pretty decent imo
it's when they stopped trying to be "deep" and the next Nirvana and just dedicated their career to making music that they liked
Wikipedia also tagged this as prog rock... Is that accurate?

Wikipedia also tagged Blackstar as avant-garde jazz. It's never accurate.
It's Foo Fighters. It's the same generic radio-safe garbage they've been periodically releasing over and over for 20 years.
As a long time listener of the FF, I will say it's pretty good by their standards. A lot better than the last record. I know everyone here will shit on it, but for what it is, I like it.

Pick one.
Anyways, it's a solid 3/5.
