Steepletone do some good entry level record players, they come with built in amplifiers and a pair of speakers usually.

You can get a Majestic portable for about 90 € (i think it's like 100 $). It's not the best but it works.
If you can go even higher, go to second hand/flea market and try your luck. You can find pretty neat stuff.
