how else will u get vinyl only releases on digital without knowing the label/artists personally?
>the original mix of the album was never released on anything but vinyl
vinyl rips are always too quiet

>the soft bulletin
Who doesn't love crackling and hissing during music? Sign me up! I wanna simulate that even listening digitally!
t. no one ever
>obscure vinyl album not on bandcamp
>autists demand a high quality FLAC rip of an album
>the album was intentionally mastered in extremely low fidelity for "aesthetic" reasons
>>75141944
Fucking this.
Only acceptable excuse for that shit is if you're an oldfag and grew up with the hissing and popping and enjoy it for emotional reasons. If you didn't grow up with it you're a faggot

Except if you have a half decent system and take care of your albums that doesn't happen
>>75142357
There's always "vinyl sounds" in a vinyl rip. It's invariable.
>>75142270
these two things are compatible
when you make a lossy file of low fidelity music there's still frequencies you're throwing away in the lossy compression process
if we are to assume that the artists mastered the music in low fidelity for aesthetic reasons then it would disturb their aesthetic intentions to then lower the quality of the music further than what the artist intended by using lossy compression

How can a vinyl rip? lmao

LMAO have you never even heard the 70s Black Sabbath albums on the original pressings of the vinyl? Holy shit you fucking idiot. You haven't heard it have you? HA! Fag.
vinyl rips are worthwhile for older music. They literally sound different.
