What was the first piece of music you bought with your money?
>>75140737
Crystal Castles first album I think
Bought it when I was 12, I like it even better today.
>>75140737
Cost $22 for the cd, and I had to import it to the USA from Germany because 0 copies existed in the USA (That were for sale).
Come at me
>>75140737
either Dookie by Green Day or Superunknown by Soundgarden, don't remember which one. probably the first.
What an ugly cover now that I'm really looking at it for the first time in years.
michael jackson thriller
I was in 4th or 5th grade and my stepmom took me out to buy To the 5 Boroughs by the Beastie Boys with my allowance.
>>75140737
This classic
>>75140737
I am not even a nigger, it was just a phase
I believe it was Three Days Grace's self-titled debut album. I remember that my class went on a trip to Toronto and I picked it up in some huge mall and listened to it on my Walkman on the way home.
>>75140737
pretty sure it was the soundtrack to the first twilight. i wasnt a fan of twilight but i heard the soundtrack at barnes and noble and it was pretty good
>>75140737
Limp Bizkit
Chocolate Starfish and the HotDog Flavored Water
Bought these two because I couldn't find them online. Buying the CD feels really good.
>>75140737

>>75140737
I honestly have never spent a dime on music, unless you're counting concerts.
>>75140737
I grew up torrenting albums so it wasn't until I listened to an astonishing album that I decided to buy one, and it was pic related
>>75141258
Jesus. How young are you?
I'm pretty sure it was a VA pop mix that included the Pokémon theme song and also a Pokémon card
>>75142024

No regrets, the soundtrack was great. It got me into Ween, The Shins, and The Flaming Lips
About a week before I turned 13.
>>75140737
American Idiot.
Listened to the album all the way through about 5 times at the Christian bookstore before I finally bought it.
This single
For 50 cents.
When it debuted
Some Hits for Kids CD I was coaxed into buying by my grandma or mother (can't remember clearly). Turned out I really hated the tracks so I only ever played it once and was really pissy about blowing my allowance on that instead of saving up for some game like I usually did.
Perfume's golden era albums, GAME and Triangle.
Deep Blue by Parkway Drive, still a pretty solid metalcore album.
good thread, I remember buying or almost buying a lot of these
pic related was the first thing i spent my own cash on. was like 12
This absolute classic
I think I was maybe 10 or 11?
>>75140737

Prodigy crab album
I hadn't heard it in years again and rediscovering it was so fucking good.
Really blows my mind that it's almost ten year ago. I remember fondly being a 12 year old asking to get it imported as it was almost imposible to find a store that carried it in my shitty mexican town. God damn. TEN YEARS.

I remember being simultaneously scared and fascinated by this one. I think I still have an mp3 of My Way somewhere. Wes Borland is actually a pretty creative guitarist.

>>75143027
My nigs!
>>75145901
Our drummer played this when we were kicking back with some beers after a jam session. It nearly blew my mind. Later, I heard it again sober, and it was still great.
>>75145901
It won't even be eight years old until November lel. I just looked that up since I remember buying it as a freshman in college when I was out with some friends. Of all places I bought it at a Barnes and Noble.

I was at a record store and I saw this album cover A.T.C. - Cisco jam EP I asked the guy if I could play it and he said yes. When he put it on I amazed because this one of the first times I heard rap music so I bought it and I still own it today.
