Not even sure if I would call that his best work, although I've listened to that album to death and know every track by heart so maybe I'm just burnt out on it.

Seconded one of the best albums i've ever heard let alone Electronic

Here is the real answer. Furthermore, the album is the greatest work of music ever to have been conceived and executed by a human being. It is literally better than Mozart, for example.

Listen to greatest album of all time: SebastiAn's Total. But be warned: you will be forever ruined for all other music.
>>75118506
Good post and good album but not quite. nothing personal kid.
>>75118490
Not even close, it is among the weaker full-lengths and even releases in the catalog. Better releases include Music bla-de-bla of course, Twoism, In A Beautiful Place Out in the Country, and Tomorrow's Harvest. even Hi Scores and Trans-Canada Highway achieve more with single exclusive tracks (nlogax, under the coke sign) than occurs over the entirety of Campfire Headphase.

Asking for electronic music on /mu/ is like asking a 70 year old for their favorite smartphone.
And while we are stating dumb comparisons, saying Kraftwerk is the best electronic album is like saying the Arcade Mario Bros is the best videogame. Just because it was one of the earliest popular releases with a lot of influence doesn't make it good, especially decades later. I respect Kraftwerk for what they did, but come the fuck on.
Anyway, my answer is this.
>>75125452

lol everyone knows the overall charts are far from the rymcore. julius eastman, les razailles denudes, etc is rym core not pink floyd and radio head. those artists get overrated by normies who have 100 ratings of the most common albums ever. but there is an undercurrent of avid users who have an entirely different zeitgeist thats more authentic to classifying rym among which all those albums your chart had encompass.

yea but the genre has evolved so much.
yes Kraftwerk created great music with the tools they had. however greater pieces have come out that show how much the genre has grown.
because the tools have become better.
>inb4 the tools don't make the music
yes they absolutely do. they could only do so much because of computation and hardware and so the newer tech has alleviated these issues.
super mario bros is great. but games made in the 21st are gonna be better.
what are the most essential electronic albums?
>>75135623
This works better as an example for video games than music because video games are so hardware based. Like, what you're talking about has some merit in the realms of early electronic where stuff by guys like Varese really hasn't aged well since it was just spatial experiments rather than actual music composing. But Kraftwerk definitely have aged well in that besides the electronic timbres, their songwriting still has its own particular layered and catchy style that's still enjoyable. Not to mention that Kraftwerk's approach is also not that dated currently even from a timbre perspective because they were very much involved in custom gear making that'll make the sounds they personally wanted, which is where electronic music is at today as well, it just doesn't take as much time as it's done through customizing VSTs.
