Trying to convey a message like this through pop music is stupid and pointless. Kids are too caught up in how good the music sounds sonically to actually give 1/8th of a shit about the message; even if they do it's more of an afterthought. Jesus, this board is so edgy sometimes. The song is actually pretty decent, especially by pop standards, and it has a positive message regarding suicide and I'm confident it'll help some people. Wasn't there a figure somewhere that the helpline has already been experiencing a boost in calls since the song released? Fair play.
