I feel bad cause when I was a teenager I never was into them and thought it was dumb music. When he suicided I didn't fell anything at all, but looking how everybody reacted, I felt bad for not feeling anything when he died. Even to this day I feel bad about it. Am I the only one?

It's ok not to feel anything about his death, what i find in poor taste is endlessly making shitty memes about his suicide all over /mu/ and /b/.
/b/ especially was full of them for weeks.
I don't care about the guy nor his music, but why make fun of a dead man that was obviously depressed?

Because it was a funny typo, even if the death of that kid was a tragedy.

I don't know how to explain it very well but essentially there's a difference between laughing at something attached to someone's death that has some amusement factor to it, and just going "HAHA WHAT A FAGGOT HE DIED" like people did with chester, it's just less...clever, it's not that funny like this.

Yeah I'll agree that all those jokes were in poor taste and lazy, but as someone who was a huge fan of him when I was younger and was legitimately saddened by his death, I still think there's something kind of cosmically ironic and darkly funny about a guy who was openly and emphatically singing about wanting to die and being miserable years and nobody noticing that those feelings were legitimate until he actually killed himself. It's like a fuckin Greek tragedy or some shit.

i actually don't think there's anything wrong with this depending how it's done. i think a lot of humour has some sort of tragic element attached, but it's finding the line: whether it's actually pretty funny or you're just being edgy
