What do you guys think of early Arctic Monkeys?

Only Brit's can truly understand the some of the topics sang on the first 2 albums
>>75107165

They fell in the same trap a lot of other small bands did when they made it big. Went too hard into pop and then quit producing what they were famous for.
First two albums had energy. Every other album has been so unbelievably slow.
My only gripe with humbug and suck it is that they're just mediocre soft rock albums. It seems like AM is the end goal of their trial and error though.

Why did they use a picture of Adam Sandler?
Favourite Worst Nightmare is probably their best work.
Selling out NY shows at 19 was the product of this record, despite being from Northern England. Early critics were adversarial because the lyrics were too good. Musicianship is incredibly tight, and youthfully ADD enough to keep the attention span on 2006's jaded youth.
From the ritz to the fucking rubble is on here.

Truly the best and I firmly believe they hit their peak with Humbug.

Just as bad as later Arctic Monkeys

''Hey guys, let's go psychedelic!''
''Sure Alex, but do you even know what that term means?''
''Myyyyyy diiiiick, won't spin, if I can't get it up alone <Full reverb guitar solo>. Something like that, right?''
Their first album is a masterpiece that started an awesome indie rock boom peroid for a few years.
