can we all agree that this is a good album?
I mean it's alright sure, nothing great
if metallica is the beatles of metal, than this album is revolver
No, but I like it.
MOP is better. RTL feels just a little too much like cookie-cutter 80s metal.

Name 5 other albums that were just like RTL in 1984 or earlier.
>>75104399
Yes
shit album shit band
>>75104450
i always preferred it, feels like it has a lot more passion and energy than MOP.
maybe it's the nostalgia trip i'm having from revisiting it currently but damn if this isn't some good songwriting for a metal album
More like MEHtallica

RTL title track is probably the most aggressive-sounding song they ever did.

Or you could just eliminate the middleman and enjoy THIS! (Yes! This IS a REAL band and a REAL album!)

G.B.H.-Leather, Bristles, No Survivors, and Sick Boys
G.B.H.-City Baby Attacked by Rats
Discharge-Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say Nothing
Battalion of Saints-Second Coming
Exciter-Heavy Metal Maniac
>>75106332
>Punk
>Punk
>More punk
>Punk again
>Heavy / Speed Metal
I like all of these, but if you can't tell the difference between those and the Thrash sound of RTL then I'm not sure what to say. Obviously Exciter comes the closest there by a big margin, but its still quite obviously different.
I wouldn't say, at all, that anything you listed sounds "just like" Ride The Lightning.

I get that all the punk bands you mentioned have crossover trash albums, but crossover thrash sounds a lot different from garbage thrash metal like Metallica.
