Why is this mediocre album being so overrated? Is it because

Okay.

I enjoyed this album.
I forgot about the Trump thing, but I never noticed it in the album (not that it matters anyways).
I think my favorite track so far is Palace of the Governors.

I gave the album one listen and it was overall fairly enjoyable but I dont remember anything from it.

Also I have the chance to see them next month, should I do it

Th-thanks, I guess I liked it as I like all Deerhoof albums, but it feels really low energy for Deerhoof, Greg never really gets going anywhere, none of the melodies stick. And another thing is all the guest vocalists who are all way less interesting that Satomi (except for Juana Molina who I love).
The political angle is kind of nothing, but a lot of reviews seem to bring it up as a talking point which is why I mentioned it.
Palace of Governors might be my favourite too, that little cocktease of a quartertone (quarter note?) really gets me going
