Would you recommend the AKAI mini MPK2?
I would like to start create my own "music" or beats nothing really professional, only have fun.
Is it worth the money or there is something better than this?
I also played guitar for 1 year now, i have a little of music theory but not much, is it possible to create music with this midi controller and it's software without know everything about music?
id say just go for it senpai. even if you regret it, its a relatively inexpensive mistake

Akai controllers are ok senpai. Dont expect too much out of it, but being able to have it synched to pretty much any daw is cool. Assignable knobs and pads is cool for a starter like you>>75094045
Also, it can successfully reduce the amount of mouse clicking, which is always a plus for me at least.
I have one and it's a pretty cool piece of kit. Definitely worth the price for keys + knobs + pads. The little toggle thing is cool for pitch bending and XY controlling; but for modulation I prefer to use knob 1 because the toggle sits at halfway rather than 0.

Thanks, the free daw software sold with it is it good? Or should i go for something else?

I mainly just use this MPD 218. I also own a APC Key 25.

It should come with abletons lite version.
just pirate the full version instead, theres lots of limitations in their bundle version.
There will also be included some nice vst, install whatever you can.
Its a nice first piece of gear. Get to it man.

Thanks senpai

I love this thing. For how cheap it is and how shit I am at making music, it's got everything I need really.

I have one and Ableton. I just want to say, for me, learning Ableton is really, really hard. You really have to put the time and dedication in to learn it. Also, learning how to play the piano is hard. I couldn't do it. I stick to string instruments now. Good luck.

just pirate Reason or something, this thing is compatible with most software.
I got it a couple years ago iirc. Sync with FL was weird, but I think it worked nicely with other DAWs

Yes. Pirate Ableton.

2 octave range seems like a bummer, I'd get a cheap midi keyboard and standalone controller like >>75094423
I have used it, I thinks its okay.
but the little knob as a pitch bend sucks

buy a full size midi keyboard off the internet
use reaper + plugins
dont fall for the meme gear
