Not pleb at all. Steely dan are genuinely great and severly underrated on /mu/.

I've always found krautrock to be great driving music, just because of how hypnotic it is.

I don't get why people like Gaucho so much. It's not bad but literally every album before it was better. Feels like just a bunch of stuff that didn't make it on Aja.

You might enjoy Double Nickels On The Dime by The Minutemen.

This album was meant to be listened to while driving. Not only does each side start with a car engine either revving or being turned over, they actually cover Dr. Wu by Steely Dan.

The front and back cover even features all band members sitting in the driver's seat of their respected vehicles.

Also recommended is side one of Autobahn by Kraftwerk, but it DOES get a little trippy, but it was inspired by driving the German autobahn from beginning to end at top speed.
