What does /mu/ think of drone/doom masters OM?

is this death grips in 10 years
Can't stand them. Ruined the genre.
I really liked their stuff when I first heard it, used to listen to pilgrimage all the time. These days I just never want to listen to them. The more time that passes the more forgettable they become
pleb shit for normies who don't listen to traditional folk/sacred music.

I prefer High on Fire

OM doesn't do much for me

>remember death grips? this is how they look now
Conference of the Birds and Variations are great, after that I didn't care much because they dropped the obvious Sleep cloning. And yes, High on Fire is the more interesting band.

the funny thing is this is genuinely what most people looking at this image thought.
sad times.
As far as Om are concerned, I have always felt that they have one god-tier track, and an otheriwse pretty-good discog. Nothing hugely special. But the whole genre is kind of a weird hybrid of not knowing what they want to do. Do we want to be Earth or do we want to be dISEMBOWELMENT?
