Where do you learn your shit? Im a beginner interested in post punk...
>>75068634
Both guitars look ugly af, but nearly nutted by how clean they are.
>>75068652
Just listen to your favorite post-punk groups and learn some songs by them. You'll pick up things like that.
Rock for girls
>>75068691
I'll take it haha

>>75068070
Drone and improvised musics
jazz, blues, rock, folk, metal, psychedelic space rock, whatever the hell i want desu. also, where are my stickerfags at? i've posted in multiple threads and the lack of stickers on some of ya'lls guitars is saddening
>>75068869

post it
mainly Jazz (miles era bop)
i like playing along with other genres (math, surf, shoegaze, some joy division) but im honestly so much worse.. no friends to jam with so its harder to do than just throw on a jazz backing track
>>75068735
>white on white on white
Probably as boring as the music you make
Mostly black metal and some post punk side projects
fucked my strings up last night
Mostly metal
my guitarist of the last 3 years might move away in the next month and I'm back to square one again
fuck me
emo/math, alt i guess
pop
a valid attempt at prog rock and prog metal
Surf, Shoegaze, Dream Pop and Black Metal.
Do you even meme guitar?
it's fretless now
I don't really play anything
American primitivism and traditional folk.
>>75068070
Goth Rock
Dark Wave
Post-Punk
Industrial
Pretty much /dark/ music.
Black metal, post-rock, old instrumental rock/surf rock, whatever-I-find-interesting
>>75072445
is it good? I've heard a lot of shit about VM squiers, most people told me to go for a MIM strat
I currently own a cheap strat and I'd rather try something different
I've got one of these guys.
Jam rock, prog, funk, fusion
shoegaze
post rock
blackgaze
shred
Classic Rock
Metal
>>75073787
Damn, digging that checkerboard pattern
>>75068884
It's to make you see how retarded you sound by using it desu...
math/shoegaze/rock/doom/occasional metal
>>75073874
Is that OSB board?
>>75073889
yeah its osb impregnated with wood hardener and surfaced with resin, the back is reclaimed palette pine and the neck is maple
>>75068870

>>75073908
unfortunate choice of floor to present this guitar on
i have a shitty denver acoustic with a bunch of shit on it and carved in it but it's at my friends house rn so cant take pic
and i play lo fi folk
>>75073974
>there's a guitar in that photo?
those are photos taken by the guy who made it, i ought to take some of my own really
A really basic thing
Squier Strat with humbucker
But it's good enough for me
I mostly play spanish music and rock, but im in a punk/metal band and a jazz/ska band lmao go figure
>>75074045
spend some real time sorting out the action and intonation on that thing(if you haven't already) and you'll be amazed what a nice guitar it becomes
>>75074045
hey i started on that exact guitar
>>75072591
not that anon but I have a jaguar VM and it's not really the big deal, you pay mostly because says jaguar on it and looks like one, but don't get me wrong, is a really nice guitar, I love to play on it but a MIM or a classic vibe will do it better desu. I have to set the bridge like every month or every two weaks because it's a really shitty one, but besides that is a nice guitar, it sounds fantastic with a good amp and a good fuzzbox.
it also depends of what kind of sound you want, try to play with both in a store and decide, and again, the jaguar one sounds really nice, don't misunderstand me.
jazz, funk, noise rock, sludge, shoegaze with some classic rock on the side.

>tfw all i see is handwaving on this thread.
>>75074190
what dont you like about em? ive always thought it was a nice visual design and these days thats about the only thing 2 teles have in common unless they're from the exact same run
as much as far eastern production and whatnot mean that the market is flooded with substandard instruments, I do think we're living in a really nice time for guitars, everything is so easy to find and there are so many sounds to choose from
>>75074253
Hey there, Claptonfag from the Clapton thread
ambient
>>75074577
What guitar do you have?
>>75074591
I saw steve strong play some lovely fairly ambient stuff at a pub in plymouth a while ago on a very similar sg, i would have never chosen it for such sounds before but they really suit it surprisingly well
Rock and blues
>>75074577
hey i like clapton too
I play bass can I post that here
>>75074123
Yeah, I've heard about issues with bridge, people recommend getting a staytrem on this one. I'll probably get some MIM strat, offset will be a future plan.
>>75074649
of course
>>75074631
honestly I just got it because Bernard Sumner plays (used to?) play one
>>75074642
You like Mike Bloomfield?
Slowcore, shoegaze, post rock, indie rock, experimental rock
>>75074707
i like that super session album of his
>>75074705
Lol Bernard sumner can barely play guitar.
>>75068634
I wish I could find a Jazzmaster with that finish and pickguard combo.
Jangle pop
Post-punk and dream/noise pop mostly
>>75074865
That's a Fender Standard HH if I'm not mistaken. They're still in production, the Sam Ash near me has tons of 'em

>>75071815
>>75068634
Everyone in this thread has a very nice guitar but these are my favorites
>>75069733
>than just throw on a jazz backing track
So do you just pick a random jazz song or whatever you're feeling and then improvise over it?
I don't know much about jazz guitar but I wish I did and that seems like a real useful way to practice
>>75074948
>backing track
I'm not jazz Anon, but I use a lot of backing tracks for practicing. It's really good for trying out new soloing ideas in a safe environment. There's also WAAAAYY more backing tracks out there than you think. You can probably find one for any genre in any key
>>75068964
10/10
>>75073956
ouch BtS is what inspired me to sticker and artwork it up.
Goth rock, shoegaze, noise rock, black metal, and dark ambient.
>>75074948
>That's a Fender Standard HH if I'm not mistaken. They're still in production, the Sam Ash near me has tons of 'em
I see used ones time to time, but I usually see them in sunburst. They're around 300-400, so they're a tempting possibility to get as another electric.
I also have a sunburst strat that I'm itching to sell or replace with one of those, or with another strat, probably in all white.
