Does anyone else find this boring as fuck despite loving the rest of his work? It's simplistic to the extent where it doesn't engage at all like his later albums meanwhile it doesn't have the layers, length, and other general hypnotic feel aspects of his earlier stuff to justify the straightforward almost non-changing repetition.

I definitely don't consider it his best work. It's not a bad album at all but R+7, Garden of Delete, and even Betrayed in the Octagon are much better.

No, I agree. I love all his pre and post-Replica work but this one doesn't do it for me. I read that he completed it in two weeks and t bh I think it shows - the fade-out/fade-in/ reverb on Up and Child Soldier seems especially rushed.
