Nobody, really. Several artists might have as big a fan base now, but in say 50 years or so, will they still be taken as seriously and be as widely known as they are now. Everyone in the entire damn world knows the beatles.

nobody will ever come close. in the internet age, there's way too much music that can be accessed to have a phenomenon like what happened in the 60's with the beatles. people knew them because they were all that was being played on radio, it's a very different dynamic now in pop music
